ITHACA NY (607NewsNow) — An 18-year-old is charged with making a false report to police.

Authorities at Cornell say they were alerted earlier this month by the FBI about a threat posted on social media. Police say the post appeared to come from someone at the Ivy League school, adding they found no credible threat.

Isabelle Lieu was charged Tuesday with falsely reporting an incident, which is a misdemeanor.
