ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Strike authorization votes at TCAT have been tallied.
UAW Local 2300 says 84% of members voted yes to strike if necessary. Union representatives say the result sends a message to TCAT management that they’re ready to take action if a fair contract isn’t presented.
Tuesday on Ithaca’s Morning News on 870AM/97.7FM News Talk WHCU, TCAT leader Matthew Rosenbloom-Jones said they’re unable to meet a cost of living adjustment demand from the union because of rising operational costs.
Both sides are continuing talks.
