ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The United Auto Workers union wants a cost of living adjustment (COLA) in a new deal with TCAT.
General Manager Matthew Rosenbloom-Jones tells us that’s not possible.
Rosenbloom-Jones also says inflation is addressed in a new contract proposal through higher percentage raises for drivers and mechanics. Meantime, UAW Local 2300 members continue to vote today on authorizing a strike. Rosenbloom-Jones says it’s part of the collective bargaining process but adds if a strike is imminent, they’ll announce contingency plans.
