DRYDEN, NY (CortacaToday) – TC3‘s CollegeNow program has been reaccredited.

Originally accredited in 2009, the concurrent enrollment program allows students to earn college credits while attending high school. It’s one of the largest programs in the SUNY system and is one of only 134 programs nationwide to receive the designation from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP). The NACEP is the only national accrediting body.

“Tompkins Cortland Community College has a long history of working closely with school districts to enhance the opportunity and accessibility of education for students across the region,” said CollegeNow Director Victoria Zeppelin.

Last year, 2,720 high school seniors graduated with 38,135 credits from TC3, including 96 who graduated with associate degrees. Nearly 900 seniors earned at least 15 credits, and 344 earned at least 30 credits.

This year, 7,703 students across 87 high schools and BOCES are registered to earn 40,833 college credits through CollegeNow.
