DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) — Tompkins Cortland Community College has signed another transfer agreement.

A deal was signed Monday, May 11 with Alfred University, which gives graduates from the school in Dryden a direct path into bachelor’s degree programs in the Alfred University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

“We are excited for the opportunity this new agreement provides for students in our newest academic program, Health Sciences, which has already become one of our top-enrolled programs,” TC3 President Amy Kremenek said. “TC3 graduates will have a seamless transition into Alfred University, where they will be able to pursue their bachelor’s degree at one of the premier institutions in our region. I am grateful for the work done at both institutions to create this agreement and provide this opportunity to our graduates.”

“The agreement guarantees graduates of TC3’s Health Sciences program with a GPA of 2.0 or better admission into Alfred University’s Sports and Health Sciences program. The Sports and Health Sciences program at Alfred University is designed to prepare students for diverse healthcare careers or advanced study in related fields,” according to a news release.

The agreement was signed at TC3 between Kremenek and Mark Zupan, president of Alfred University. “This agreement reflects our shared commitment to expanding access and preparing students for meaningful careers in healthcare and wellness,” Zupan said.
