ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Special Olympics New York will return to Ithaca this summer.
After a successful 3-year commitment, Tompkins County Legislator Rich John says the group and its athletes are coming back.
The games are scheduled for the third weekend in June, with opening ceremonies set for Friday, June 21 at Ithaca College.
The following day, athletes will compete in events from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at various venue locations including Ithaca College, Cornell’s Barton Hall and Reis Tennis Center, Ithaca High School, Boynton Middle School, and Midway Lanes in Vestal.
