ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Ithaca’s Common Council is getting another contender.

Pat Sewell has announced a second run representing the Third Ward. Sewell, an adjunct professor at TC3 and president of the school’s adjunct union, previously ran as an independent candidate two years ago.

He’s seeking the Democratic nomination and says he will focus on “strengthening the City’s core infrastructure; promoting financial transparency and accountability; ensuring reasonable zoning; and collaborating with Council and the city manager to create a budget that works for everyone” in his campaign.

Ithaca’s Third Ward covers much of the South Hill, where Sewell has lived nearly 20 years. The primary is on June 12th.
