MARATHON, NY (CortacaToday) – No injuries were reported in a Cortland County motor vehicle crash.

On Friday, October 11, 2024, State Police were called to I-81 in Marathon for a report of a collision between a tractor-trailer and a full-size RV. It happened around 4:15 p.m. According to Troopers, the recreational vehicle failed to see the big rig slowing down ahead of a work zone and sustained “quite a bit of damage.”

Troopers say the tractor-trailer only had minor damage.

They were assisted on-scene by the Marathon Fire Department and the Marathon Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps (MAVAC).
