ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Congressman-elect Josh Riley is backing the United States Postal Service.
On X, Riley said the USPS should be a public service, not a cash cow for profits. His comments come after a report from the Washington Post, which states president-elect Donald Trump is considering privatizing the postal service.
Riley said the change would devastate rural communities in Upstate New York.
“I’ll fight like hell to protect our Postal Service,” he said.
