ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — A contract between Cornell and TCAT has changed.

The Ithaca Voice reports Cornell has agreed to amend its bus pass agreement with the transit company, reducing the risk of penalties for TCAT. Under the agreement, Cornell pays TCAT $3.3 million a year in exchange for new students receiving bus passes. Last year, a condition was added to the contract that penalized TCAT if service thresholds were not met.

In the altered arrangement, TCAT will provide slightly less service during the fall and spring semesters and a little more during the summer.
