ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – State disaster training is coming back to Tompkins County this month.

The Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services’ Citizen Preparedness Corps class will be offered in Ithaca on July 22. The course is designed to help you prepare, respond, and recover from natural or man-made disasters as quickly as possible.

The Museum of the Earth, located at 1259 Trumansburg Road, is hosting the training. It starts at 6 p.m. You can register here.

On July 26, the class heads to Owego. The training will be held at the Tioga Historical Society building at 110 Front Street. It starts at 2 p.m. Registration is available here.
