CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) – Spots remain for an upcoming veterinary clinic in Cortland County.
The Cortland County Health Department (CCHD) is set to host a free rabies vaccination clinic next week for your dog, cat, or ferret. It’s happening at the Cortland County Office Building gym on Wednesday, July 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pre-registration is required.
Proof of prior vaccination is needed to receive a three-year vaccination certificate, otherwise, a one-year certificate will be provided.
CCHD reminds you:
- You must provide paperwork as proof of vaccination, tags do not count
 - Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier
 - Dogs and cats should receive rabies vaccination at 3 months, 15 months, and every three years after that
 - Ferrets should receive a rabies vaccination at 3 months, and yearly after that
