ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Slope Day at Cornell is in the rearview, and students are happy the weather worked out.

Senior Bria Reed said the afternoon sun made for good conditions.

“It helps that it’s not so muddy out there,” she said.

Sophomore Peter Hall said the campus was “really lucky” rain stayed away, after it drizzled for much of the morning.

The annual springtime celebration featured Grammy-nominated rapper Gunna. Some students danced while others sat on blankets during his performance.
