AURORA, NY (CortacaToday) – A Cayuga County committee has finalized a list of potential development projects.

Stakeholders in Aurora, Cayuga, and Union Springs selected 17 projects this week to send to the state for review. The narrowed list comes after multiple public meetings. According to Fingerlakes1.com, among the chosen plans are a new waterfront park in Aurora, and a large overhaul of a Cayuga marina.

The three villages collectively won a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant in February, a collaboration that earned high praise from Governor Kathy Hochul.

The state will announce early next year what projects will move forward.
