ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A popular bar in the Ithaca area has abruptly closed.

On June 16, the K-House Karaoke Lounge and Suites announced the decision on Facebook, stating that it was “heartbreaking” and not their choice, though the popular singing spot was due to close at the end of the month.

According to the K-House team, they shut down due to ongoing and unresolved issues in the building. The local favorite kept its doors open through the COVID-19 pandemic and introduced pop-up dining options in recent years, including Smash Bros World Food in 2022.

K-House operated for 10 years at 15 Catherwood Road in the Lansing Village Place Plaza.
