ELMIRA, NY (607NewsNow) – Two Elmira men face drug charges downstate.

On October 4, State Police initiated a traffic stop on Route 17 West in Sullivan County.

Troopers say they found roughly 2.2 pounds of cocaine and nearly 13 ounces of methamphetamine in the vehicle. The driver, 27-year-old Joseph Myers, and Lakeem McFadden, 43, are each charged with four counts of felony drug possession, including two with intent to sell. Myers is additionally charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Myers and McFadden were held in Sullivan County Jail without bail. Both men appear in Mamakating Town Court on October 8, at 9 a.m.
