ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Plans are advancing for a sports project at Ithaca College.

On March 11, the Town of Ithaca’s Zoning Board of Appeals granted approvals for a scoreboard, fence, and press box. The structures are planned to be part of a new outdoor track on campus.

The previous track was removed in 2023 to make way for a new football field. The college anticipates construction of the new track to be completed in the coming fall semester.
