CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – A major renovation is underway at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.
Crews begin work today to add several new rooms to the emergency department, including specialized units for behavioral health. It’s the third phase of an 18-month project.
The hallway connecting the ED with the rest of the hospital will be walled off during construction. Emergency, cardiology, and pulmonology patients must use the ED entrance; all other patients and visitors should use the hospital’s main entrance. Patients who previously used the ED entrance as a pass-through for laboratory services must now enter through the main hospital entrance. Laboratory draw stations have been moved to the main entrance lobby for convenience.
