(607NewsNow) — Our pets of the week start with Tarot (Top L) and Shorty (Top R) from CNY Snap.

Tarot came to the shelter in October of 2023 after living outside with her mom and siblings. She’s about 2 years old and has learned that being pet by people is enjoyable, coming a long way from the scared kitten she used to be. She is curious about people and will come up to greet you and get some head scratches. She been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Shorty arrived at the shelter in November of 2024 and has had a rough go of it, being abandoned outside and left on his own. He’s only about 1-2 years old, so he has never truly experienced having a home of his own. Shorty is FIV positive and still looks and acts just like any other cat, but his adoption fee has been waived because of it. FIV is typically only spread through deep, penetrating bite wounds. Shorty is a calm and sweet boy who likes to be pet and would be thrive in a loving home of his own. He has been neutered, is FeLV negative, and has been microchipped and is up to date on vaccines.

Next, we have Clay (Bottom L) and William (Bottom R) from the Cortland County SPCA. Clay is 4 years old and is a sweet, easygoing dog with lots of love to give. He loves treats and belly rubs and is not shy about getting them. Clay loves to play and cuddle with his people and would be a great companion.

William is a little over 2 years old and very smart and well-mannered. He has learned commands such as sit and how to give his paw. With two different colored eyes, he is unique on the outside and the inside. He loves to play and has a very friendly personality. William loves meeting new people and will be happy to find his home.
