NICHOLS, NY (607NewsNow) – A traffic stop leads to felony charges in Tioga County.

On December 4, 2024, deputies arrested 33-year-old Jennifer Harris and 31-year-old Nicholas Whitmarsh of Owego after pulling them over in Nichols. The pair allegedly had over 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine and about 21 grams of crack cocaine in the car.

Harris is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Whitmarsh is charged with two counts of drug possession and an additional charge of possession of stolen property from a separate pending case.

Both were arraigned and released to return to Nichols Town Court at a later date.
