ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A popular SUV has been recalled.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall on Jeep Grand Cherokee Plug-In Hybrid Electric models due to a software issue. Officials say an error can cause a loss of driving power.

The recall applies to models from 2022 to 2026. Nearly 92,000 affected vehicles were sold nationwide.

According to USA Today, a resolution for the recall is still being developed, and notification letters won’t be mailed out to customers until October 23.
