ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A popular kitchen item has been recalled for burn hazards.

SharkNinja’s Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers have been pulled from shelves because the lid can come off while cooking. The 6.5-quart unit came in black and features a pressure cooker and an air fryer. The recall applies to all models in the OP300 Series, as described below.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the company has received 106 reports of injuries, including more than 50 people claiming second- or third-degree burns to the face or body, and 26 lawsuits have been filed.

Over 1.8 million units were sold in stores and online from January 2019 through March 2025 at Walmart, Amazon, Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, and directly at Ninjakitchen.com. Consumers are advised to discontinue using the pressure cooker function and contact SharkNinja for a free replacement lid.
