ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Ithaca Common Council members are wishing farewell to a colleague.

Alderperson Patrick Kuehl is moving to Texas. His resignation takes effect August 5.

Alderperson Pat Sewell said Kuehl has put in a lot of effort.

“I think he’s one of the hardest working members of council,” Sewell said. “I think he’s done a tremendous job here.”

Alderperson Robin Trumble said the council “won’t be the same” without Kuehl.

Kuehl, who represents Collegetown, joined the council in January 2024. He said he’s “incredibly proud” of the work the group has done.
