NEWFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) – An Onondaga County man faces charges in Tompkins County.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, Victor Rodriguez, of Tully, allegedly fled from authorities after they tried to pull him over in Newfield. According to deputies, Rodriguez did not have a properly displayed registration. It happened around 2 a.m. on Route 13 near Mazourek Road.

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office says the 39-year-old Rodriguez eventually stopped and was taken into custody without incident. Further investigation showed he had an active arrest warrant for assault, a suspended license, and was allegedly driving a Toyota Prius reported stolen the previous night in Pennsylvania.

Rodriguez is charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property, and misdemeanors of reckless driving, unlawful fleeing, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
