CUYLER, NY (607NewsNow) – A new municipal service building is coming to Cortland County.
Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan has secured $50,000 in funding to renovate the historic train depot building in Cuyler into a town office.
The grant will allow crews to insulate the building and wire it for electricity. Once completed, it will host public meetings, educational programs, and other events.
Town Supervisor Lou Anne Randall tells FingerLakes1 that repurposing the old train depot helps to serve residents better while preserving history and calls it a major step forward.
Assemblyman Gallahan represents the 131st district, which spans seven counties including Cortland, Cayuga, Broome, and Seneca. The Republic recently opened a local office in Moravia.
