DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) — Dryden Lake is getting a new dam.
Deputy Dryden Town Supervisor Dan Lamb tells 607 News Now repairing the 53-year-old wood dam is not enough.
Lamb says New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation is putting the project out to bid soon, with the winner to be selected before year’s end.
According to Lamb, a leak in the dam has resulted in Dryden Lake’s water levels being reduced by over 50%.
