ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — FedEx is closing a location in Ithaca.
A corporate spokesperson tells 607 News Now it’s part of a larger consolidation across the country in a program called Network 2.0.
The initiative will “improve the pickup, transport, and delivery of packages in the U.S. and Canada,” the company stated. Since its 2022 launch, FedEx says 150 stores have closed.

In June, the store on Warren Rd. in Ithaca is among several in New York that FedEx says will close. Other locations closing in the Southern Tier include Horseheads and Binghamton.
“Because there are approximately four months until closure and employees have several options, we are not able to provide final details on impacted employees,” the spokesperson said.
