FOREST HOME, NY (607NewsNow) — The National Weather Service has tallied top wind speeds.  

Sunday in Tompkins County, the wind peaked at 65 miles an hour at Forest Home and 61 miles an hour in Groton. The biggest gust of wind in Cortland County was in Cincinnatus at 45 miles an hour.

The windstorm knocked power out across the Southern Tier.
