ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A winter weather advisory has been issued across the area.
The National Weather Service says snow and wind could make for difficult driving conditions in the Southern Tier and Central New York. In the Southern Tier, officials say 5-12 inches are possible in locations that see the most persistent lake effect snow.
The advisory lasts until 10 a.m. on January 8 in Tioga and Broome Counties, and 1 p.m. on January 9 in Tompkins, Cayuga, Cortland, Onondaga, and Seneca counties.
