HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) — No one is injured after an accident involving three cars and three tractor trailers. 

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office says “officers arrived on scene locating a tractor trailer jack knifed across the Interstate blocking all lanes of traffic. It was determined that there were two separate crashes that occurred.” All northbound lanes on I-81 in Homer were closed when the accidents were reported around 5:45 last evening. 

“Sheriff’s Officers were able to clear the vehicles involved in the crashes to one side of the highway to open up a lane of travel. The interstate was shut down to all traffic until 7:35 PM, when all vehicles were cleared the scene,” deputies said.

The cause of the crashes are unknown.
