NEWFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) — Two kids in Newfield are recovering after a crash.

The Tompkins County Sheriff Office says a golf cart overturned Saturday, Aug. 15 on Ward Heights North. Deputies on the scene determined the 46-year-old operator, Andrea Osborn, was drunk.

According to a statement, “following further investigation, Osborn was arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), a Class E felony. The Leandra’s Law charge applies to driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age as a passenger.”

The two kids were treated for minor injuries and released to a guardian, deputies said.
