ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Some new faces are set to take seats on the Tompkins County Legislature in January.

According to unofficial results from the Board of Elections, Christy Bianconi is the presumptive winner in District 14 over Michelle Wright, who was running as an independent.

Bianconi edged out Wright, 400-292. In another contested race, the village of Dryden’s deputy mayor Dan Wakeman has won a seat representing District 10 over Tom Corey, 1,046-350. Wakeman had nearly 75% of the vote. Despite dropping out of the race for District 7 over the summer, results show John Dennis received 515 votes on Tuesday. Legislator Deborah Dawson launched a write-in campaign, and the BOE says the county received 659 write-in votes in the district.

Meantime, longtime legislator Mike Sigler will represent District 10 after getting a majority of votes over James Perkins, 1,215-969.

Other races for Tompkins County Legislature were uncontested. All results will be certified by the Board of Elections.
