ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — An outbreak of Listeria is getting worse.

Tompkins County Whole Health says 71 Boar’s Head and Old Country deli products are now linked to a nationwide outbreak, with cases reported in New York. Medical Director Doctor William Klepack says you can’t see listeria.

Klepack notes symptoms can take a while to develop.

According to Tompkins County Whole Health, these are the typical symptoms associated with listeria:

  • Fever
  • Flu-like symptoms, such as muscle aches and fatigue
  • Headache
  • Stiff neck
  • Confusion
  • Loss of balance
  • Seizures
