NEWFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) — A quick-moving storm in Newfield caused some damage. 

On Friday, firefighters responded to seven different storm calls over the course of an hour. Damage included downed wires and trees from high wind. Firefighters finally wrapped up the calls around midnight, about five hours after initial responses.

The National Weather Service confirms a microburst struck Newfield and parts of Schuyler County, with wind speeds ranging from 65 to 85 miles an hour.
