WAVERLY, NY (607NewsNow) – Mental health services are expanding in Tioga County.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, officials will celebrate the grand opening of the Waverly Mental Hygiene Clinic, a satellite of the main location in Owego. The new spot, located on Ithaca Street in the village, will offer an array of services.

“We are excited to have the ability to provide services once again to the Western region for Tioga County residents,” said Director of Community Services Lori Morgan in a statement. “The Waverly Clinic will be providing outpatient mental health services, specializing in co-occurring treatment, psychiatric, and substance misuse services including peer advocacy.”

Tioga County Legislative Chair Martha Sauerbrey says the project culminates over ten years of discussion, and credits cooperation between the Tioga County Legislature and the Village of Waverly Board, including Mayor Andy Aronstam.

The Mental Hygiene Clinic in Owego at (607) 687-4000 will be the main contact for the Waverly satellite.
