MARATHON, NY (CortacaToday) — Results are in after a vote in the Marathon Central School District.

A capital project referendum passed 124 to 76. The project, which district officials say won’t add any tax burden on residents, has a cost of 12 million dollars. According to district officials, most of the funding comes from state building aid they anticipate and money from capital reserves.

Superintendent Andy Buchsbaum will discuss the project with WHCU’s Joe Salzone on Ithaca’s Morning News at 8:40 Thursday morning.
