ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – A lawmaker is highlighting Tompkins County’s approach to the voting process.

With election season less than three weeks away, Legislator Rich John says broad political narratives have affected the public’s perception.

 

John adds the Tompkins County Board of Elections is structured to be bipartisan, and much work has been done to prepare for this election season.

In related news, the Department of Justice has appointed a regional liaison to handle any complaints in the upcoming elections.

Assistant United States Attorney Joshua Rosenthal is the District Election Officer for the Northern District of New York, which includes Tompkins, Cortland, and Tioga Counties among others.
