ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Tompkins County legislators could receive raises.

A proposed resolution would increase their salaries to $25,000 starting in 2026. Legislators currently get paid $22,050, with the chair making more. Officials say they work about 30 hours per week.

Elections for all members of the legislature will be held next year.
