ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — An Ithaca lawmaker is not seeking another term on the Common Council.
2025 will be the last year in office for Alderperson Clyde Lederman. In an interview with the Ithaca Voice, Lederman said he would rather “focus on getting stuff done” than run for reelection.
Lederman is a student at Cornell. He says the course load combined with his Common Council duties have entailed “a lot of sacrifices.”
Lederman serves the city’s Fifth Ward, which includes part of Cornell’s campus.
