PREBLE, NY (607NewsNow) — On June 17th at 5:00 p.m., the Kiwanis Club of Cortland held a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the Cortland County Legislature unveiling the new playground at Dwyer Park.
Designed to give younger children additional space to play, the project was unanimously supported by the Cortland County Legislature says Kevin J. Fitch, Chairman of the Cortland County Legislature.
“That unanimous vote reflected something bigger than politics,” Fitch said. “It reflected our shared belief that investing in children and families is always a worthwhile investment. It reflected our appreciation for the Kiwanis Club and its long history of service to our community. And it reflected the understanding that great things happen when community organizations and local government work together toward a common purpose.”
