This week in 1982, The Steve Miller Band started a two-week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘Abracadabra’, the group’s third US No.1. The song is said to be inspired by Diana Ross, who Steve Miller met while performing together at Hullabaloo in the 60s.
