ELMIRA, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca woman will spend over a decade behind bars.

On May 19, Fatiuna Massaline was sentenced to 12.5 years in state prison on a two-count indictment of assault of a police officer and assault. According to WENY-TV, Massaline received an additional 7.5 years for the assault charge, but it will be served concurrently.

Massaline was found guilty in March for her role in the 2024 retail theft that led to the critical injury of Chemung County Investigator Michael Theetge.

Massaline’s alleged accomplice, Ithaca man Dominick Haley, was sentenced to 12 years in March after pleading guilty to assault, assault on a police officer, and petit larceny.
