ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Hours after a shooting Friday in Ithaca, police have nabbed the suspect. 

40-year-old Tarrant Sheppard was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and attempted assault, both of which are felonies. According to IPD, officers found someone who’d been shot Friday afternoon on West Buffalo Street. The injuries are not life threatening.

Sheppard is being held without bail in the Tompkins County Jail.
