ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – Ithaca is considering a proposal to rezone properties near Cornell.
The city is looking at changing all or a portion of 23 parcels in the Residential University (RU) district adjacent to campus to the University (U-1) district. The buildings were constructed before the city’s first zoning ordinance and the switch would bring them into full compliance, as well as maintain the character of the area.
Ithaca Common Council will hold a public hearing at its November 13, 2024, meeting scheduled for 6 p.m.
