ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — A lack of housing remains a big issue in Ithaca.

Mayor Robert Cantelmo addressed Ithaca’s current state of housing on Thursday’s edition of Ithaca’s Morning News.

Mayor Cantelmo says prices include rent, home ownership, and tax assessments.

By 2034, Cantelmo hopes Ithaca’s housing grows to over 22 thousand. The mayor tells us to accomplish that goal, the city needs more pro-housing policies.

Cantelmo says the regulatory environment is something within the city’s control.
