SENECA FALLS, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca man is facing multiple charges in Seneca Falls.
On June 16, authorities responded to a village home for a reported domestic incident just before 10 p.m.
According to FingerLakes1.com, Thomas Knight pushed his 9-year-old child and a woman to the ground and hit them “with closed fists.” The 9-year-old fled to a neighbor, who called the police. A second child witnessed the alleged altercation.
Knight is charged with felony aggravated family offense, two counts of misdemeanor attempted assault, two counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanor attempted criminal obstruction of breathing, and misdemeanor harassment.
Knight allegedly damaged police department property while in custody and was additionally charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief.
An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victims.
