ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — After three failed searches, the city of Ithaca is taking a break from finding a new controller. 

City Manager Deb Mohlenhoff explained why Wednesday, July 2 on Ithaca’s Morning News.

Despite retiring in 2023, Mohlenhoff says former controller Steven Thayer has been helping. Meantime, Ithaca’s new DPW superintendent begins work on Monday. Mohlenhoff says the city is working to fill other leadership roles.
