ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A new coach at Ithaca College is getting comfortable on campus.
In January, Gabe Kuhn was hired to lead the men’s soccer program. He said he’s becoming familiar with the players.
“My goal is just to get to know them . . . and see what we need to work on moving into the summer,” he said.
Kuhn added the returning players are quite talented.
“We have a great foundation, a pretty big senior class and junior class,” he said. “I’m excited to, you know, hopefully end their senior year on a high note.”
In terms of recruiting new players, Kuhn said the process is going well. He expects freshmen to make a “pretty big impact” on the team.
Kuhn previously led the men’s soccer program at Alfred State. He said he learned from the ground up as it was his first head coaching experience.
