ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Ithaca Carshare is celebrating one year back. 

Operations were paused in 2023 while a bill made its way through the state legislature. Director Liz Field says they’re slowing getting back to normal. 

The bill, which was approved early last year, allows nonprofit groups to get insurance from national, nonprofit risk retention groups. Field also tells WHCU they’re currently in rebuilding mode.

Operations at Ithaca Carshare resumed on March 11, 2024.
