ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Talks will continue on Tuesday about a proposed housing project in Collegetown.

Ithaca’s Planning & Development Board is reviewing plans for the building, which would be on College Avenue.

At a recent meeting, board member Jennie Sutcliffe said she’d like to see more storage space for bicycles.

“We live in a really difficult climate,” she said. “It’s difficult to leave your bike outside, difficult to haul them up and down inside small urban buildings.”

Board member Andy Rollman said another good addition would be more outdoor benches.

“I think this would be a great place for the public to be able to sit along College Avenue in the nice weather,” he said.

The building would be eight stories tall and feature commercial space.

The board gathers on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Ithaca City Hall for further discussion.
